Okay, so this weekend I got myself another little cory, this time a bronze one. So now I have 1 bronze and 3 albino. Then I have a question: on what age/size, will sexual maturity take place?

As my one big albino (-+6-7cm) came with the tank, and have no idea of the age, and my two smaller Albino’s are about 1 year and the other 2 Years old, and the new bronze one I got this weekend, and is still very small

Thanks

Vez

Well... the 6-7cm Albino is much bigger than any I have seen (yet) so I'll assume that He/she will be ready for spawning as well as the 1 and 2 year olds..... the little one is probably less than 8 months old and although he may participate in the spawning rituals, I doubt very much if he will have any contributing impact before he is (at least) 8/9 months old (say around 3.5 to 4cm).... Provided of course that you must have at least one of each sex in there..... You know?...... birds & bees....

My bronze cories started spawning at about 1 year old if that helps.

You get albino's in all the "common" varieties of cories.
It sounds like your 6/7 cm cory could be an Elegans or green - the size.
Cories will be able to spawn around a year old. It is preferable to have 2 males for each Female.
It is easier to sex cories from above, if they are in a white bottomed bucket, as the females will be "fatter" behind the pectoral fins, and bigger, while the males will be smaller and have more of a V-shape.
I'm currently breeding: Similis, Sterbai, Pigmy, Bronze and Pepper.
I'm looking for about 8/10 Swartzi's...
Good luck!

had a look at them this morning, i saw the large(female) was following one of the smaller ones, if he moved, she was sure to follow, then saw that the small one started to swim 1/2 way up the tank, the drop onto the head of the big female...... this was done a few time, but then stopped, and nothing again....
