I need to replace to of my 30w lights Im looking for the equivalent of sky white or daylight. I currently have 2 cool white tubes and a pinkish boyu tube but the tank has a yellowish tinge. So far I have tried the lighting warehouse as well as builders frustration with no luck. Any brand names I could get ordered in would help as well as stores that might stock them would be awesome. LPS wants like R200 per tube:eek: also if there are any stores that have growlux tubes would help. I am based on the east rand

Lamphouse Linbro Park. Cash only and only open on weekdays but they will have a much wider selection

And they stock Sylvania GroLux, not the GrowLux knock offs

Lighting warehouse dont stock anything above 4000k. Lamphouse is a bit far from me to go and buy some globes plus only being open on weekdays is a problem. Any other suggestions

Find lighting supplier, get them to pull out their Phillips globe catalogue, and order the phillips 6500K globe. It's a TDS something something. They will try and bullsh.. you and tell you that they have to buy a box of globes (25). Tell them to phone their supplier whilst you are standing there and to confirm this. 99% of the time they not prepared to order only a few globes in because they then have to go fetch it. But if you prepared to wait a few days, 9/10 times they will get either an order big enough to place with the supplier to qualify for delivery, or they will more than likely go out that way.

My light supplier ordered me 3loose, he himself personally picked up the globes for me when he was out that area (apparently he had to go to another warehouse out in the same area, and agreed to collect my tubes. ) I had to wait 3 weeks... but at R27.00 per globe, I really couldn't argue!

Lighting Warehouse is a bunch of clowns!

you can get Biosun 965 tubes from lighting warehouse in montana pretoria, for R70 a globe. or just ask for daylight tubes, they are either osram or phillips 965 tubes.
