New tank,

I am going to set up a 270 liter planted tank over the weekend.

Now I need your help.

Ok obiously I put the tank in the spot where I want it and then fill it up with water. :p

When filled with water is there any stuff that I need to put in the water so it can start the prosess. Names please

How long do I have to let it run before I put in some fish.

My plan with this tank is to put plants, lots of it and then parrot fish, tyretrack eel, and some other peacefull strange looking fish in.

What tipe of plants can I use. For colouring and beauty. Plain names please.

What kind of fish can I put in the tank with the parrot fish that is also peacefull but not plant eaters. Or fish eaters.

Will I be able to put in ghost shrimp in the tank.

The clay potts that they use can it be any tipe clay or is there a passific tipe I need to ask for when buying.

Any comments please.. some ideas will help also. I want to make it a special looking tank.

teracota pots. henk hugo has got 'n thread of a big tank, go and look.
Seachem stability very important! its a liquid u can use to let your tank cycle faster.
Start googling Marshia Walstad substrate for tank setup methods for plants, she knows a thing or 2
