Ola

Yesterday I setup a small 'lil tank to grow glosso & H.C. *Kinda got the inspiration from Rowland/Ross*

I put riversand in the tank and underneath it I have the gunk that that got out of my 1.2m tank's HOB when I cleaned it yesterday. There should be some nutrients in it to compliment the substrate.
I pressed the riversand very tightly as I do not want a loose-laying substrate that goes every easily.

I only added 2 small pieces of glosso into the tank as well as 1 small piece H.C (literally 1 'leaf' if I can put it to you that way). There's only enough water to cover the plants.

No filtration at all
No heating at all
No CO2 at all

Just one 6200k T8 tube fixed on the tank

Added some of Prof's drops, so now let's wait and see what comes of this

Here are some pics (again, apologies....was taken with phone)

Will keep you posted on proceedings

PS - Many thanks to Henk for the tank & Gert for the light tube

Cheers
Dale

Yip, me neither. Good luck Dale - if the plants stand any chance it is with you:blink1:

Ok....just for the heck of it, I've added riccia to the group. I've placed a small pot in the corner of the tank with a smallish piece of riccia attached to it. Water level is just creeping into the riccia (not showing in below pic). I've not used any string or elastic bands to secure the riccia. Here's a pic

Glosso started to grow, HC still status quo. The growth is slow, but there is life :)

Riccia has started showing some growth and attached itself to the clay pot.

I'll be getting myself some liquid CO2 for this lil tank soon...wanna see just how it'll grow then.

Will post pics over the weekend.

lol, ok....this consultancy fee trip is going a bit overboard now. Let's put that in the closet :)

Wow Dale - the growth since I last saw them, was it 2 weeks ago?, is phenominal!

...considering that there's only water, light & ferts in there, yes...the growth is phenominal :) lol

Not commercial yet, so you'll have to order from him directly.
