He's a beaut. To get the background on properly, use a bit of cooking oil and an old credit card and press it down, this should work (Thanks Zoom).

Have you got any floating plants in there. I see what you mean by jumpy. Do any of the other fish do it? Maybe add some decor to the tank for him to hide behind.

What an awesome fish. maybe if you put in a few other fish (biggish) he might not get so spoked when you come near the tank and as Firefly said some decore for him to hide.
