Light Types

My Jebo came with three tubes.

1 x 20w 100k T8 (or is that T9?)
1 x 25w 100k

and then another which is marked "red" and gives a very light purple hue, almost like the usual ultraviolet light.

What am I suppose to use this for? Currently I leave it on at all times, and then leave it on at night, but I'm sure that's now that it's meant for.

a ture UV light will leave you with "arc" eyes if you look into it. its most porb just a blue light

Ha ha, I didn't say it is a UV light, just looks much like one but not as darkly purple.

It simply says "Red".

So the question is, do I leave it on all the time?

I thought UV light kills Algae?

Isn't that why they put them in ponds?
