Thanks for the kind welcomes.....again......:) :)
So do you guys actually sell anything, or are you just sponsoring for the sake of sponsoring?
SauRoN, the 'public' are not allowed advertising stock for sale on a regular basis on TASA unless you are a sponsor. Since all our fish seem to be popping babies at the moment, we thought it would be easier to sponsor which would allow us to advertise stock as they are ready. Also, why not support a site where the hobbyist gets so much out of it?
We've also got contacts with wholesalers of mopani wood and shells etc, which we ourselves found extremely difficult to find at reasonable prices. Our negotiations with them are at the nitty gritty stage at present and we will be making these products available early next week once everything else has been finalised.
The idea is to assist the hobbyist in obtaining those products which they are looking for but which are not that easy to find in your LFS.
We are in no way trying to compete with the LFS's at this stage as we in all honesty do not have the time to make this into a full time business but would prefer the freedom to advertise when needed.

The public can sell stuff on TASA Vee.... just not on a commercial scale... ie - no one has 30 2nd hand airpumps for sale :D

Cool guys, so the plan is to make the hobby pay for itself?
So what fish can we be expecting "the fish nook" to be supplying?
Cool guys, so the plan is to make the hobby pay for itself?
Yip, if possible. At present we have FAR too many tanks running and needless to say with weekly water changes and heaters running the electricity account has skyrocketed as has the water :) But the fish are worth it!
So what fish can we be expecting "the fish nook" to be supplying?
At present we have a couple of spawns of Angelfish at various stages of development, two pairs of Blue Rams have just recently spawned, the Kribensis have their babies swimming around as well. The Apistogrammas laid eggs and silly me didn't see them and disturbed them when doing a water change, which resulted in the eggs being eaten......so they're sure to have another go again soon. A few other fish are showing interest in each other, but so far no cigar with them.
I still have a number of unused tanks at the moment so if there is anything you guys would be interested in, I can get some and see whether we can get them to spawn as well for future.
