Very cool, where did you find them eventually?
Keep a keen eye out for signs of internal parasites.

Bryan at JungleAquatics was able to help me out. Thanks for the advice :) How would one know if they have internal parasites?
hehe thanks Kel-Sol

Glad he could. They are suppose to have rounded bellies if you feed them well
If there tummies are sunken in and there poo is stringy and white they
might have internal parasites.

Look on google, there is a forum especially for these guys and nothing else.
There are loads of advice and people who have kept them for years.

Very cool new friends!
What are you feeding them? Because I'm considering setting up a 2ft tank for some puffers

Aah found the site Vis thanks.
Whipme all of them seemed to enjoy brine shrimp. Some of them eat bloodworms but with effort. They don't eat the bloodworms that fell to the ground lol, picky lil things. I set up a snail breeding tank long before I got them but they don't seem to be interested in them yet. 2ft tank - nice ;) they'll enjoy that

Have you only got the 2 of them? And is it actually safe to keep more than that in one tank?
I've got plenty of snails, so I'd at least have a place to send them when I fish them out of my community tank :)

Nope I got 5. They are still small so the fighting isn't a problem yet but they will become aggressive to one another if cramped too tightly together. I think your 2ft tank is just right. You would need about 19 liters per fish to have enough space. Most people will keep 2-3 females to every 1 male since the males will be less aggressive this way.

The coolest thing I like about them is the way they can move there eyes independently :) makes them look extra dorky.

Hi Jenny,

They are very cute. I am urgently looking for some myself, any ideas where I may get some in Durban?

Hey renevr20,

I have no idea but I suggest you ask some of your local pet shops if they will be able to order for you. Initially I wanted to courier mine but then I phoned around and most of the courier agencies do not courier live goods and those that did cost a fortune. I haven't tried all of them so you can maybe try and find a courier agency that specifically couriers animals. I also don't know if pet shops will courier them once you find a pet shop that can get them for you...maybe if you arrange everything. Good luck in finding them :) I waited quite a while to find mine and it was worth every second!
