Morning All

I purchased my 2 Cichlids yesterday afternoon at a LFS in Boksburg that was on my wish list that I had ordered a few months back. Urau & Kilin Bonsai Flowerhorn Parrot Cichlid here below are some info on my 2 hot babies.....;

53825381
Urau (Waroo) Cichlid
Size: 15cm (grows to 25cm)
Price: R250
Origin: South America in the Amazon
Availability: Rarely found in LPS

53795380
Kilin Bonsai Flowerhorn Parrot
Size: 10cm (grows to 25-30cm)
Price: R300
Origin: Hybrid in Taiwan (Bonsai Flowerhorn crossed with a Parrot Cichlid)
Availability: Rare in LPS (normally will find a FH crossed with a Tex cichlid these are very poor quality as they colour and pattern is not as attractive as the Kilin Bonsai)

That Waroo looks real naughty :)

The kind of fish that will hide behind ornaments and rocks waiting for the knife to swim by. When he comes by the Waroo jumps out scaring the cr@p out of the knife. He will then swim away laughing his butt off looking for a new victim :)

Yes he is, When I put him in yesterday he had to deal with my 10cm Oscar and next minute they bought had a lock jaw tug-off-war for about 30sec and then released the Oscar must have got a shock after he tried to bully the Waroo..

Urau (Waroo) Cichlid

I read somewhere they tend to prefer being kept in groups of atleast 2?

Everyone, please dont take what Henk is saying as being insulting or an attack on you... His tone might be blunt or rude but he's simply stating what he knows to be facts and most of us here have come to know this...

Keshen, I must say that you are quite fortunate that your thread has not gone off the rails with people attacking you for keeping flowerhorns as this in itself has been a hotly debated fish together with parrots and other "man-made" types not to mention the fact that nobody has stopped to correct you on mixing fish from such vastly different waters in the same tank or the fact that many of them are not recommended to be kept in such a small tank.

I applaud your enthusiasm for keeping fish and sharing with us but I must advise you that you are still a relatively new member here on the forum and as much as you might have felt attacked, you should rather have raised your concerns to the mods instead of lashing out in retaliation.
