Ola

Been meaning to post this a while ago.

Have a read here (http://www.aquatic-eden.com/2007/10/creating-waterfall-illusion-underwater.html) and let's see who's going to give this a go :)

Cheers

Hey, this looks interesting, I'll give it a shot but I'm not gonna use air bubbles to lift the sand. I'll try the eductor method. I've got a spare (really small) pump that should work if I can regulate the flow properly. If I cant, I'll settle for an underwater volcano :)
I'll take pics and post them, even if I fail horribly and manage to cause an explosion.

Ok, so I've done some experimenting. The small pump i had didn't do the job (the sand i have is too heavy) so I'm gonna use a bigger pump.
The trial worked 100%, got sand sucked up through a hole in the pipe and flowing out the other side

I've just gotta try slow down the flow, prob gonna use a larger diameter pipe or split the flow. Don't have pics yet coz I've just been experimenting in big bucket :)

Bought some t-pieces and 90 degree bends and will see if I have time over the weekend to build something worth showing.

Using wather flow rather than air bubbles seems better because u don't have to try hide the bubbles behind something.

Later....
