Not wanting to start a fight here but I dont understand it myself...... But then again, why did Henk post full contact details of another supplier in the "Corner tank" thread?

Personally I don't really see the harm in putting an address down either, BUT we all agreed to the rules of the forum when joining and until such time as they are changed, we have to abide by them.....

With regards to Henk posting details in another thread....well only he will know, perhaps there is something more to it than meets the eye....for all we know they may be in negotiations with that company for sponsorship or something...who knows, the point is, it's in the past so let's leave it there - it wouldn't be cool if this forum ends up being like many others where bashing and attacking one another publically is the norm...

Sorry for my venting, just my opinion.

lol, easy tigers...nobody on here wants a fight :D

I would just like to understanding admin & mods reasoning behind this as I think the purpose of this forum (and any public forum for that matter) is here to help one another, and unless a user's post is malicious, I think he/she should have the right to aid another user by referring them to a place where he/she can source a particular fish or product. Although I think, based on how this forum is put together, we should give sponsors first preference (out of respect to the rules of course), the users in turn shouldn't be limited to only the sponsors. In fact, our recommendations about non-sponsors on the forum should be motivation enough for admin & mods to go to these LFS and get them onboard as a sponsor :)

Agree fully with you there Veegal & Solex69, but I was just thinking that we are all here to help each other where we can. Was not having a "bashing" intention there.

 Here they are http://www.tropicalaquarium.co.za/showthread.php?t=285.

I think the reasoning behind it is that the sponsors pay to advertise here whereas the other shops/people don't. If anyone could be mentioned that would defeat the purpose of the sponsors paying I guess.

Not too sure, but hey, perhaps Rory could explain it for us??? It is sometimes difficult to accept if the sponsors don't have the stuff someone is looking for or are not in the area where the person lives......???

Yea that was posted before we finalised the whole sponsor thing.

Its the rules case closed....

btw - they are becoming a sponsor....

I'm pretty sure the old posts app would be blaring loudly about now, but thought whats the point of starting a thread on 'interesting finds' if one already exists...ok enough blah blah

Saw some interesting fish today. Royal pleco, clown plecos, african leaf fish, long nose brown knife fish (not too sure on this one), archer fish, garra rufa ( those feet cleaning fish), twig catfish (or something along those lines)

Understand can't post shop details but guess can pm, its in jhb north.
