I agree, i always used to get told that my oscars were really ugly, but it never changed my affection for them in the slightest. And Arowanas? Beautiful. So glad my guy is back on his "feet". :D

i'll never understand how people can miss the beauty of an oscar maybe its more in the personality that the owner gets to know that casual onlookers never see.and theres little more breathtaking than an arowana gliding through the water.

lol! Im not an oscar fan, but they do bring back memories from years ago. I remember my brother owning two, and while he was away my father opened the lid of the tank to feed them, one jumped out to grab the food out of my fathers hand (i think i remember it actually getting my dads' finger). My dad got such a fright he yanked he's arm away and ended up dislocating his shoulder. LOL. Would have to agree with you as foar as the arowana's go though - they are beautiful

my arowana did that to me last nite,i had a cap full of pellets and before i knew what was what he jumpd and hit it right out my hand had pellets all over the floor

Yep Oscars are not appreciated by everyone, i prefer the one ones though :) :)

Mine used to splash water out of tank whenever I opened the sliders at feeding time. RIP...still miss them :cry:
