Hey,

any thoughts on this filter?

It's the 1000

I've just bought a 260l, will this filter suffice?

Thinking of doing an additional sump,
would this be overkill?

I'll reduce my fish to 3 Silver Scats,
5 Mono's, one Archer and a Chinese
Algae Eater.

Cheers

Oh yes, it should be fine. I suggest you introduce a powerhead filter along with it. It aint necessary, but it sure will do wonders for your setup.

I've got a 1200 on one of my heavily stocked 3ft tanks and it only needs cleaning once every 3 months or so. So the 1000 will work perfectly for such a low bioload. And you won't need a powerhead in the tank, the canister will give you plenty of flow!
