One of the other sites does something similar every now and then and it works really well! Its also a good idea to make it like a "swap meet" where we can give away and trade excess plants and fish...

I suggest a BBQ at someone's place...don't know if everyone is open for a mass LFS crawl even though I think it's a cool idea. Maybe Ross can offer the van as single transport (assuming members are keen)

Hey henk! Sorry man, i did not mean to bring up any unfinished business with hartand? I just thought it may be good to visit an LFS that most people wouldn't have been to. I don't know about most of you good folk, but I've been to just about every LFS I know of throughout cape town, from fish hoek to tableview! Its always nice to see new stock you've not yet seen.

Anyhow, we'll see where we end up? I'm easy!

Are most of us not from the Northern Subs? So I figure most will hardly ever to the other side of the mountain......Perhaps we should look at going to the Southern Subs/Fish Hoek fish shops for example Elite etc etc, then working our way to Panorama Pets and ending at the BBQ spot? Thoughts?

I would suggest that we contact the SSuburbs LFS's and tell them who we are and what we are doing - They should at least offer SUBSTANTIAL discounts for all the FREE advertising they are getting by word of mouth..

We should also try and get them on board as advertisers etc..

If this is a concern, should we not all be informed as to who and why we should avoid this place? Or would that be against the forum rules?

Just a question? If this LFS is ripping people off and doing things not in the interest of the livestock, surely it should be blacklisted?

Anyhow, I'm good for visiting any LFS's, but don't they all shut at 1pm on a Sat??

Maybe we could all gate crash the Profs place... haha! I'm sure he'd love that!

I dont actually purchase my fish from any petshops because they cant get the stock i want.i USED to purchase fish there long long time ago..never had problems tho.lately i'v noticed that alot of petshops receive fish from importers which are in very bad condition..i think thats partialy to blame for the conditions of fish in petshops

Brilliant idea! Cool - Big G I think most of those going are from the Northern Subs, so perhaps those from the this side can meet at Panorama Pets at around 9h30ish and then move to your side of the world. We can then meet up with those living in the Southern Suburbs.
