Yeah once the tank is set upand running fine we want to add lots of plants, this tank must be bos, we gonna be adding diy co2 And fertilizer, we like to go all out, same applys with the reeftank, all or nothing, how does 2 20w daylight cfls sound? 9 hours a day, also we not using flourite etc, we just have a fine black substrate, im sure it will be fine, will try and get iron supplements to put into the soil, lol we all know how vallis grows, ours is mad, 3 new shoots in 2 days, and they half the size of the mother plant in 2 days, we have some other plants but i really do not know the name, i think the other one is amazon sword, can someone provide a link with pictures and names ?
Cool
2 20w daylight cfls sound? 9 hours a day
Sounds like you would be OK concerning light. I might try one daylight and one 4000K bulb. Not sure if it would be better but I am going to try it in my 2ft.
You can try the palm fiber peat option ( Check the thread under ask the prof) under you substrate as it also acts as a fert.

4000k is better or daylight? I know algea loves 4000k, which is standard warm white, how will i add the palm fibre peat? Cos the tanks running already? Also where in dbn is there a shop that stocks things for planted tanks? The most i see guys have is like just bottled of fertilizer, or am i just not lookinf for the right stuff?
Will say daylight but to much of it or an imbalance in your ferts and you will have algae out your ears anyway.
Ok if the tank is already running than PFP is a no go.
I you want the right ferts for our water you need to contact Prof Dirk on this site and order some from him.
Our LPS are a bit retarted when it comes to planted tanks ;)
