Hi people! Started up my 3ft again to try and breed my A. Agassizi's. I have a trio in here who have spawned twice in my other tank but my Ram did not like that to much so i moved them. This tank is below my 1.2m.

Its a 80l tank with a very small boyu external canister doing 200lph. Now i know this is slow but there are a lot of plants and the fish stock is not to heavy. The lighting is a bit high above the tank but it seems to be doing great. 1x growlux and 1x 7400 kelvin osram, both 30w each. The lights are 35cm from the water surface.

i added 6 blue emperor tetra's as well.

Good job Schalkv710 ... all the guidelines and rules about flow, light height and the like go out the window when you find what works for you and your fish / plants.

I think the important thing in your tank is the positioning or the return vs filter intake - the way you have placed it is good since the water moves through the tank, might be why you are getting away with less flow/hour. Compare that to a HOB with intake and return on the same side of the tank yours is 100%.

khalid, the blue emperor will take fry if they get the chance, but the agassizi's are such good parents that i doubt they will get a chance to get to the fry. At least i hope so!
