I am wondering if there are Misgurnus anguillicaudatus (Oriental Weatherfish) in South Africa and where to find them if there are.

You do get them I know a guy who has, but they aren't all that common, your best bet would be Panorama pets or ask the sponsors...
ps common name "weather loach"

Weather loaches are actually on the black list....
as per the black list - Misgurnus Anguillicaudatus Japanese Weather Fish
I can understand why as they live very happily in cold water... dont know how they get so many into SA
Thank you guys. I just found it on the blacklist. But why?

They will survive in our rivers without any issues... and most prob breed
I have seen a bunch of those guys at Northlands Pets about a month back.
They are often labelled as dojo loach; weather loach; mottled loach ...
Thank you for your info. dojo laoch is exactly what i am looking for. please advise me where Northlands Pets is about.
Thank you.
Following the Misgurnis anguillicaudatus availability, and stockist request.....
I thought this would be relevant.
I may be wrong, but according to the users agreement , coloured, emphasis in bold(extract below) :
You agree not to post or transmit any unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, profane, hateful, racially, ethnically, degrading, sexual or otherwise objectionable material of any kind, including, but not limited to, any material which encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offence, violate the rights of others, or otherwise violate any applicable local, state, national or international law.
So it's the same as if you posted a forum request for a snakehead, pirhana, or walking catfish, and stockist details.
These spp, and others, are clearly blacklisted.
As acknowledged, by Maggie above.
Thus known to be illegal.
The rest is quite logical.
How then, does tasa membership deal with that, and subsequent request for illegal species and their stockists?
I find myself in the midst of many species requests, which I must unfortunately deny.
EVEN if I know where they are to be found.
To promote keeping, and thus sales , and import will be Perpetuating a bad practice.
The excuse of " Well, it's for sale isn't it ?" ... is weak
