Where are you based? I'm in Midrand & I'm looking for Looking for Giant Vallisneria for my malawi tank.
Yeah where are you guys based?
Website says nothing.
Nevermind I'm an idiot, Altum has been PM'ing me all along.
They are based in Cape Town, I think he said Montague Gardens.
Hello!
Based in the Cape, with National delivery,of most livestock and hardware.:noworry:
So sorry:amazed:
We do not market Giant Vallisneria anymore
Vallisneria gigantea is listed by Dept. of Agriculture as not allowed for import into RSA.
By extension that implies trade, promotion of trade, sale .
BTW Trade= Swop, give-away
Even though those were locally produced,
we thought we'd do our bit towards compliance.
THUS, I do not sell this plant anymore.
UNTIL such time as it IS CLEARLY INDICATED/LEGALLY, that trade may occur.
I can INSTEAD offer you fine specimens of Large Microsorium pteropus Java Fern. They travel well, are very hardy, attach to rockwork/logs ... AND Malawi (nearly all fish!) find them unpalatable.
pm me for sales/info!

I actually spoke to the Dep of Agri about this yesterday - the department of Agricultures black list is only on importation and not on plats grown locally. The plants listed on the fish black list is a 100% no go....
Oh btw - if you are "do our bit towards compliance" where is everyones CITIES permit for their Laceplants?
Thanks!
I'll be sure to make more Vallis available

Voluntary compliance...:p
I wasn't asked to do anything by an authority, you are no authority, and have none.
NOR did you buy anything from TheWaterZoo.
Lace Plants imported possess all necessary papers from necessary relevant govt. agencies.
....and that is that.
Hi Waterzoo,
Can you maybe make up a package with differant plants. I see that one can import a package that costs say 30 $ but all is differant plants. Maybe something like that? Only say for about R130 exc postage. it can be loose plants.
Say some large growers and some medium growers and some small growers or so on? All that will be suitable for the same tank. Green and coloured plants.
Thanks
Sure, we can do this for you.
Depends which species in stock, that can be selected for you.
Often I don't list if there's too few, or if regularly available.
MOST of our plants are potted though.
pm me, with email add for easier, personal communication
