Thank you Rudi. That is a GREAT link. That definately answered a lot of my questions. (Just for further reading, you will find the same information on the thread "Ask the Professor: Fertilization Strategies." Towards the end Laure posts an extremely informative article on algae... almost identicle to the link you posted Rudi.)

What makes this a good article is the photos and the suggested "cures" are recognized on all good "planted tank" forums.It helped me a great deal,but not only regarding algae but also the setup,maintenance of a heavily planted tank.
Don't ignore the intro.

Another really nice article. One of the best I've found thus far. Good pictures, good sharing of knowledge based on EXPERIENCE, not hear-say / old myths / etc.
