hi guys
3 years ago had fish and was not successful .did some asking around and start over in this year January with same equipment .
i got a 450cm tank , gravel , filter , heater and plants was in the tank for 3weeks before i ad 4 angels in it. every thing look and work well , even the fish look healthy.

then i got my self a 1.2 m tank. did put some water in and after 3 day i add some gravel and plants etc of the old tank that's still running.

so my question to you guys is. when i scoop the gravel out a lot of waist raise up in the water.i did change 50% of water 5 days go with that sucking thing. is my filter not working to good or is my cleaning that bad

is it food, is it the thing that hold the plant in its pot or .........
and is this normal and safe.

What filter are you running on teh 1.2?

it happens to me as well boets.There will always be some waste i found in my tank.
What i do is syphon with water changes and if i only get halfway then ill start there the next time i clean and do a water change.

If you are very concerned just take your water one a week to test at a LFS its usually free and then from there on test it once a month.

If youre in the west rand jhb go to fish world at sterlig nursery and speak to Stefan or his boss isak,very helpful guys....only one of those 2 coz i've had another guy who works there tell me thats its ok to put bettas with guppies.hehe

i had 2 filters in at the time.
but thanks for the reply, i did maneged to come right.
and got my self a big filter know.
and can some 1 pls tell me what time period i must clean a bit

I clean my tank once every week and replace my filter cartridge once every 2 months.
