Any Idea what kinda Tetra this is??

I bought this lil' feeshee as a baby, and for a while thought it was a pristella tetra, but it appears it may not be, as a black dot is forming on its flank, and its fins are too rounded and long, although the pic doesn't show the full extent of this!

Anyone any idea what it is?? Is there a long fin variety of Pristella/X-ray tetra??

It is a Pristella/X-ray tetra, there are a few varieties around so I wouldn't be surprised if there is a long-finned type.

Yer, it was just the Black marking behind its gills that made me think otherwise?

The Pic does make its dorsal and anal fins look quite pointed, but they are very rounded, to the point that they are the same width all the way up to the top, and then only the tip is rounded. Dunno if that helps?

Definitely a Pristella. As city bowl indicates there are some varieties and this is one of them.

Pristellas. I got the same fish (7 of 'em). They really are lovely community tank dwellers.

Definately one of my favourite.
