I am actually waiting for the TSN's at my LFS to get large enough to go into the tank with my 13cm Jag cichlids :)

Cant believe he actually chowed a Pleco.

Welcome to January!

TSN's eat much bigger fish than Pleco's. Try Oscars and Jaguars. They WILL go for anything that can fit in their mouth

Thanks Henk for the pic. Was very close to give the shovel nose a try this weekend. The local LFS had some small ones and it is a atractive looking fish. I don't wonna think what he would have done with my plecos:eek:

You think a TSN could live in a Pond in Durban?? Would LOVE to have one of those!

Jodyc when yours out grows its tank you can give it to me ;)

Still not big enough. In the wild they get over 2M long. Don't have access to YouTube here at work, but there is a documentary about the Amazon. One of the features was a pack of Giant Otters taking down a big TSN

durban temps are ideal albeit a 1-2 odd cold nights in winter(which goes un-noticed)

last time i used a heater was when i had siamese fighter babies about 2 years back
