What is the cause of fin rot and is there a remedy?

Hi sunburst and welcome to TASA...
the main cause of fin rot is less than ideal water conditions. Could also be caused by other fish nipping at fins and there by stressing and injuring the fish in question.
Can you give a bit more info ?
