Been a quiet day at work today so my boss sent me to have his car washed. LOL, Awesome!

So, after having it washed I pretend to be a high-roller in my Merc and all(LOL). Stop by a certain LFS just to browse. Oh, how I love browsing.
Anywho, I notice they have peppered Corys! Yay, not! *DOEF*
After recovering from falling on my back, I see its no dream.
R100 each, for red gilled, malnourished corys.

Could this be right, or are they taking people for a ride?

Also saw "Asian Glass Fish", like these, really pretty, really expensive!

Which LFS Ruan? There is one I always supported because their stock and service was so good, but I had some issues with their stock recently and I find they are lately grossly overpriced. I think you know which one...

I am not really in the market for anything right now, but I am thinking about getting some corys. And when I do, I will get them from Quintin (Urban Reptiles - Sunridge Park) @ R25 each for peppered, albino or bronze corys.

No, the one where thou shall not buy fish, I'm not sure if I can mention names.
Lets do a pictionary rather:

I have never heard of those cory's...
:wondering: Must be rare....*googles*
LOL, what I meant was, that their gilles were red, probably from ammonia poisoning and they looked very malnourished.

PE aquarist rule #1: thou shalt not buy fish from there - even worse - ask for advice

They also sell shrimp

However, in their defense, I once placed an order for plants and they actually DID order them and they arrived in great condition.

If I was you...I'd breed Cory's and sell them back to him at half price. :D:D

Luckily I didn't buy my fish there, just thought it was ridiculously expensive!

In Durban, never pay more than R15 for a bronze cory.
