1st Pic is of a young male, 2nd is of a slightly older male and female. They still need to colour up more! N. Kilomberoensis Ifakara TAN 95-4. This little stunner is probably one of the most beautiful freshwater fish, the electric blue fins are much more reflective and stunning in person. They are interesting to watch and show quite a bit of character :P. They spawn in normal Notho fashion, laying eggs in peat. The peat is dried (kept a bit moist) and bagged with the collection date. Usually Notho females are plain grey/brown but females of this specie have a brown 'freckle' pattern on the body making them quite unique.

Guys,

You won't find these in a petshop. You need to buy eggs and hatch them yourself. You also need to do your homework before you start with Nothos as this is a completely different ball game. You keep them in species tanks each species strictly on their own and with the distinct collector codes. Go and have a look at the websites of the British Killifish Association or the American Killifish Association but completely forget about LFS for these.

Well done Mitch, those fishes area really pretty, now you need to harvest eggs and then persons can buy them from you.

Kind regards,

Dirk
