Superb little breeding tank:push:
The 338 has a built in filtration system in the canopy. The canopy is fitted 2 florescent tubes which are protected by a plastic cover. Its almost a 10 gallon that's great for a kids tropical setup. beware MTS comes standard with this tank...

Cons...
- It comes from somewherez in China...
- doesn't have a god rep amongst the internet reviews..

I have 1, the one light ballast has blown, the little powerhead stopped working so the filter doesn't work... But it did last for about a year...

other than that, it's a great tank.

I couldn't agree more... Boyu make an identical tank. I paid a fortune for it, and it was set up all for 2 months before I NEEDED a bigger tank. I am waiting for us to move out of our small flat and when I have my own den/study, I want to set it up in there as a Betta tank.

Coming from China isn't too bad considering the Chinese are the leaders in keeping fish.

I have on on my work desk, its been here for over a year and was at my house for more than a year before that, never had a moments trouble with it other than the fact its tiny. Haha! thinking of taking the current fish out and making it a malawi tank. Mmmm will look good on my desk.

I don't get how they put a plastic cover on the lights for all their cheaper tanks, but failed to do so with my corner unit.

But I'm sure there was supposed to be a condensation plate, that just didn't make it to the box.

You cant put malawi's in such a small tank,100L i feel is minimum size to house malawi's happily and even thats on the small side

Hi Parrot Girl ... Most probably the impeller went on your powerhead - Go ask for a replacement at a LFS(local fish shop) - if they dont have... any small powerhead or pump can be "jerry rigged" to run your filter - It doesnt HAVE to be the exact same pump... Just make sure you take some measurements of pipe so you can get the right adapters if you need

Most LPS stores carry those Yebo pumps like Azure said so you might even find a exact replacement.

Hi there,
I recently bought a JEBO R338 tank and I love it. However, i cannot figure out what that little plastic tube that you can connect to side of the powerhead is supposed to do. The internet and people tell me it is supposed to make bubbles. However, when my tube is connected it pumps water out of it and drips out and the little adjustable knob at the top.

I would really appreciate any help concerning this problem.

It's supposed to pull in air via a venturi effect. Never used it though. I have a R138 which just comes out with different lights.

Jip as Rory said it has a little valve which you turn and supposed to let bubbles out..

I have one of these as well, the two tubes was replaced with 2x phillips genies for the plants...

is that little pipe in the water or outside? When i hold it straight up over the tank there is half water half air, but that cannot be right.

I took mine off so that there is no bubbles. I find the trickle tray filter gives more than enough surface agitation to add O2 to the tank. But mine actually stopped blowing bubbles about 2 months after I had the tank. Now it just blows water that I have buffered a bit since the current it creates is quite strong. (reason for baffling is that I have a siamese fighter in the tank and the current was to strong - so a tiny piece of filter wool was pushed into the pipe.)

I have figured it out. :-) The pipe was too long. Thanks.

I have some extra lights for the Jebo R338 tank as I recently have changed the fittings to cfl.

If anyone is interested you can make me an offer for the lights.

I have 2x grolux for this tank and also one of the original lights left which came with the tank.
