1m Stand

I am setting up a 1m tank at work for the guys and have been quoted R250 for a stand, is this a decent price or am i being ripped off :)

That sounds about right Donny. We get a 1.2m stand here for around R300/R325.

shop in parow say R250 shop in bothasig say R350 .... got the tank for free plus all equipment and trying to do this for as little as possible as its no ones tank realy just want to give the place some life.

well if its 25mm square tubeing it goes for R186 for a 6m piece , so its R31 a meter . i am not sure on your dimentions or how thick the tubing is so this is just to give you a rough estimate. You can work out the how much metal it is and see if R250 is worth it .i wouldnt make a 1m stand for less to be honest with you

i would think the shop would be using 20/30 mm angle iron, if i have time the weekend i wll go see what it is made of,, thanks for the info reafer

Thanks veegal ... want to also set up a tank up at home 1.2 x 450 x 450 ... community tank .. with permission from the girlfriend ... :) .... want to speak to Henk as i would like her to see different setups to get some ideas. As from the forum Henk seems to have some realy good setups

I have fish for your office setup if interested. Guppies, long fin Zebra Danio's (beautiful), Silvertip Tetras, Albino Widow and Dwarf Gourami. Healthy fish - I just want to move in a different direction regarding species.
