View Full Version : Betta maintenance
As opinions on this subject seem to vary widely, I'd like to gauge what folk are feeding their adult betta.
Assuming you feed a good variety of decent quality foods, and the aim being the healthy maintenance of ornamental (not breeding) betta; what is your current feeding regime?
1. Once or twice per week
2. Once per day
3. Once per day, with a rest day once a week
4. More than once per day
Same for me :)But then again as I told you they dont get much from me and they have to share it with their companions.

Mine share with other tank mates.
They get good dry food in the morning and frozen Special mix in the evening.
From Wednesday to Friday frozen food is changed to live food. ( Blood worm - dahnis - brine shrimp each on a different night )
Gosh! I expected more members to respond? 3/2000 odd? ok, I know not all active, lets say 3/400?
Still, not much of a response... :sad2:

I feed all my adult bettas 4 times a week.
Thanks to everyone who's voted so far! Opinions certainly vary!

I always think that it is a good thing to give 1 day break in the week, but I also dont think the fish will get harmed by not doing it and feeding once daily.
My breeders I feed on a daily basis, and younger guys that is potential breeders twice daily.
