I got this Pleco with the tank, and now I'm really wondering if this colouring is normal?

It appears to be completely symmetrical.

Can someone identify the type/kind of Pleco?

This little dude looks like he's leaned up against the heater and he's slightly burnt! Has the paterns changed since you got him!

Common sucker mouth Plecostomus, it looks like those markings are common in this type of plecostomus.

My sucker mouth pleco also changes colour depending on his mood, his stress levels and the lighting! So this is definatly his species colouring Sauron!

Hi Sauron......I haven't been online for awhile - very busy at the moment. Yip, as previously mentioned. Plecos will have a mottling effect when they are stressed, especially when moved to a new tank, or when they aren't feeling too well.
